LODGES

Beckford’s ‘Splendens Pavilions’

A fifteen minute stroll away from The Beckford, these two luxurious lodges are named after the original Pavilions built by William Beckford as guest accommodation for Fonthill Splendens   –  regular guests then included Byron, Nelson and Turner, so you will be in good company.  Though these days you will have wifi, smart tvs, internet radios and bluray dvd players (bring your own) …

Guests arrive to a well stocked fridge with local produce enabling you to “cook your own breakfast”.  The bedroom and roll top bath are on a mezzanine level gazing out over some of the most beautiful views in Wiltshire. There is also a walk-in shower.  Downstairs there is a sitting room with a simple kitchen, wood-burning stove and all mod cons, in a country chic style.

They are great value  at £175/night weekdays  and £195/night on weekends, with a minimum two night stay. If you don’t feel like cooking your own breakfast The Beckford is close by.

Please note that due to the secluded location in the heart of a private Estate there are some restrictions on where guests can walk.  As there are sheep and a Horse Stud nearby we cannot allow dogs under any circumstances. The lodges are not child friendly – we also feel it may be unfair to guests staying in the other lodges to allow children under 8 in any circumstances (however well-behaved your children are!). For this reason there is a maximum  two person occupancy for each lodge.
